APPLICATION TO INTERIOR WALLS (Reference TA2500 for completed details):
Drywall is an extremely porous surface and sealing it up is difficult yet critical for graphic applications.
1) Some drywall surfaces can cause poor adhesion. These include:
a. Highly textured surfaces
b. Matte, high gloss and scrub-able paints
c. Highly pigmented paints (dark colors)
d. Newly painted surfaces
e. High humidity areas or moisture behind the drywall.
2) New drywall (anything less than one year old is considered new) has to do a lot of moving as the new building settles.
3) If the wall has been freshly painted, allow it to fully cure, at least one week prior to installation. Consult your paint manufacturer for proper cure times.
4) MACtac recommends a test strip be included in the graphic for the end user to test on their walls. For best results insure the wall has a flat, smooth, even, dry surface. Avoid textured surfaces including textured paints, wallpapers, stucco, scrub-able paints, etc.
5) Make sure your graphic will fit in the area. Measure your wall and your graphic.
6) Use a clean alcohol saturated cloth to remove any dust from your wall surface. You may need a damp cloth or cleaners to remove excessive dirt and dust followed by the alcohol wipe. If so, allow an additional 24 hours to dry as many surfaces absorb moisture like a sponge!
7) Deco-media must be applied and cleaned following the proper application guidelines. Please reference the technical bulletin TA2106 DecoMural, DecoCanvas, DecoSatin Application Guide, or These can be found on the MACtac website.
8) Never apply wet (no application fluids)! Always apply dry.
9) Use the same lot number to complete a job. This will avoid potential lot to lot variability in the canvas structure.

LIMITATIONS:
Due to the wide variability of interior walls, sealants and paints, no claims for unsuccessful applications to or removal from painted wall surfaces are accepted by MACtac. It is the users’ responsibility to determine the products suitability for the intended wall.
Over lamination of this inkjet-printed media is not recommended. This product is not designed for outdoor use.

PRINTING and HANDLING RECOMMENDATIONS:
Always test your combination of inks and Deco-media prior to commercial use.
1) Printing Conditions: Print in conditioned pressroom at ±73°F (23°C) and 50% RH. The maximum allowable ink saturation is 270%
2) Drying Requirements: Solvent, Eco-solvent and Mild-solvent inkjet prints require 24 - 48 hr. drying time - open to the air. Inks do not dry when printed media is rolled up. DecoMural is not designed for lamination.
3) Transportation Conditions: To allow for easy transportation, Deco Satin can be rolled up, with the image out, with a minimum diameter of 6 inches (15cm). When the image is not protected by an overlaminate, make sure the print is completely dry and protected in a plastic bag. During transportation or storage, avoid exposing them to extreme temperature and humidity changes.
