Our Legend 32 35-watt Laser will cut a variety of plastics other than
PVC up to 6mm thickness with high precision and details, and in the case of
acrylic, a flamed, finished edge is produced. The cost of cutting is
determined by: a minimum setup time of cut file; cost of substrate with
allowance for re-run; preparation time of substrate to fit table size
of 31" x 19" and
the actual cutting time which is mainly a function of substrate
thickness
and the number/size of letters and graphics.
To enhance the look of acrylic letters, decorative polyester can
be applied to the face of acrylic before cutting to yield mirror gold,
mirror silver and other metallic looking finishes. To speed up
installation of small cutout letters, transfer adhesive can be
applied to the back of the substrate prior to cutting.

Simple Steps To Obtain An Accurate Job Estimate on LaserCut Letters:
- Separate your design into 4 seperate groups: lettering, graphics / logo, background shape, bar or
underline. This is required since the calculator estimates different typical path length
for each type of group.
- Determine the height and width(if required) for each contour, count the
number of objects for each group and enter data into the respective tables.
Letter height should be greater than the width of the letter. Enter the
letter width instead if it is longer than the height.
- Add finishing options as required.
- Click the Continue button to calculate job cost.
- lease note if the entered dimensions are greater than the table size 31" x 19", the letter or graphics will be cut in sections.
LaserCut Stecils
Small stencils with lot of intricate details can also be done on the laser table. Common substrates used are 0.030"-0.060" lexan, HIP styrene and co-polyester, depending on coating type and application.
Simple Steps To Obtain An Accurate Job Estimate on LaserCut Stencils:
- Determine the height and width of the stencil, add 2-3 inches all around (or as required) for over-spraying.
- Choose 4.5mm Acrylic under "Substrate Options" in the calculator for common stencil substrates listed above. Enter the overall size of the stencil under the Logo/Graphic Group.
- Click the Continue button to calculate job cost.
- Please note if the entered dimensions are greater than the table size 31" x 19", the stencil will be cut in sections.
